RESPECT

For the second addition to the Undress Runways Future of Fashion campaign, we explored the topic of respect within the fashion industry.

“We must rapidly begin the shift from a “thing-oriented” society to a person-oriented” society. When machines and computers, profit motives and property rights are considered more important than people, the giant triplets of racism, materialism and militarism are incapable of being conquered.”
- Martin Luther King Jr.

I very much appreciate working on a shoot which is working to unveil the detrimental flaws in the fashion industry. As well as addressing the growing concern of societies obsession with consumerism. Especially when what we wear can come at a destructive cost to those who make it.

"In 2016, 61% of companies reported not knowing where their garments were made, 76% percent not knowing where their fabric was produced and 93% not knowing the origins of the raw fibre."

It was a lot of fun working with such a great team on set. Although it was a super chilly day with a crisp breeze coming off the water, we made sure to have a hot chocolate break between outfits to keep the blood flowing. A big thank you to everyone who roughed it to create some beautiful content.
